UFO Foundation works with the following participants.

After its foundation in October 1998 the initial stages of UFO's development were characterised by gathering industrial support for the development trajectory and by the identification of potential, sustainable industrial projects. During this stage several companies and organisations supported the common mission of the foundation by becoming active participant in UFO. Today UFO is a widely recognised industrial platform in which a high percentage of the industrial companies on the Oosterhorn site are represented through SBE; other participants are the Delfzijl municipality, the province of Groningen, Groningen Seaports, the Investment Agency for the Northern Netherlands - NOM NV and the regional Water Boards.
